2004 VINTAGE

The 2003 - 2004 period was characterized by having a normal Winter.

The spring was warm, with many cloudless days, but also a higher number of cloudy days with light rain showers during the flowering period. None-the-less, there were areas subject to a cold Spring with frost; such was the case in Leyda.

Summer was subject to very hot weather in January and February; especially notable was the unusually high temperatures recorded in March.

Most of the vineyard soil had normal winter water levels, which became reduced during Spring. It was necessary to irrigate the vineyard earlier than normal in order to help the vines during the growth phase, prior to December 2003.

The harvest began 10 - 15 days early in all of Chile.
